Although our journey of moving started years before our most recent adventure, we will begin this blog with our move to Hawaii in June of 2020. Not only was moving to Hawaii our biggest move to date, we experienced added obstacles relocating during a global pandemic, COVID-19.
Nevertheless we said our goodbyes, loaded up our rental car....two adults, two kids, two dogs, and nine bags later...we hit the road. We had 9 days to complete our trek from Georgia to California. Our first stop was in Oxford, Mississippi. Next, we spent a night in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and made a quick pit stop to see the bison at the Cherokee Trading Post.
Here We Move Again!!
From Oklahoma, we made it to Albuquerque, New Mexico, then made our way to Sedona, Arizona. We decided to stay 2 nights in Sedona aka "Red Rock Country", and explored the beautiful terrain and town. The hike at Twin Buttes/Broken Arrow Trail in Coconino National Park was breathtaking, and confirmed we must make a trip back to Sedona one day. We were also grateful the South Rim of the Grand Canyon just reopened to the public, as this was an absolute must see on our list...pictures just do not do it justice!!
After our 2 night stay in Arizona, we hit the road again to our next stop in Reno, Nevada, then finally on to California. We had two full days in California to explore and squeeze in as much as we could. Lake Tahoe, Truckee, Golden Gate Bridge, Full House "Home" (the kids love the show), Napa Valley, and Sonoma were some of our top sites to see.

June 13, 2020 was finally here...we hopped on a plane to our next home in Oahu, Hawaii!! We were 4 of 9 people on our 6 hour flight, and flying with face masks was a new experience for all of us. We arrived to the island late at night and settled into our temporary hotel home!
Hawaii Here We Come!!
